Hans Wikkeling began martial arts when he was 7 years old and tricking when he was 10. Hans was highly influenced by his martial arts mentor and personal coach, Ramir Masqueda, as well as his friend Jimmy Pham. From them he picked up the acrobatic kicking style known today as tricking. In 1997, Hans earned his first degree black belt, and also joined the USA Martial Arts Demonstration Team. In 2001, Hans joined a performance team from the Bay Area known as Loopkicks. In 2004, he was asked to represent Team Acura to compete on the national tournament circuit. Near the end of 2004, Hans created his own martial arts program along with Chris Devera. Loopkicks has expanded and in addition to performing demonstrations, has competed as a team at national tournaments, held martial arts tricking camps in the summers of 2004 and 2005, and 2006.
