HI everyone, my name is Sami Suddeth and I am a Hyper Pro. I made this question to see what are your favorite kicks are and why you like them. What do you do to improve on your kicks, and how have these drills improved you kicks over your Martial Arts career.
My favorite kicks are buterfly kick, round kick, and front kick. I like these kicks because for the butterfly kick it feels like your flying and it looks cool. For round kick and front kick, I can kick people in the head with these kicks and also side kicks as well. I am not the tallest person so kicking people in the head was a great acomplishment. I work on it by streching alot. My instructor tells me that I am the most flexiable person in the studio.
I have to say that the flying side kick is on the top of my "Favorite Kicks List". I say this because I love how it feels to fly while in kick position and my Karate teacher says I have great skill and how I can fly while keeping my leg tucked in. My second favorite kick is the butterfly kick. Last week I did not know what it was called but it looked cool as I flew over the furniture. Even my sister was amazed. I love to prepare by streching and I am very daring. I remember how one day in karate, everyone in the dojo was streching and gasping, Including ME. When instructor came around he said "Who wants me to pull on their leg?" while we were doing stradles (we call them splits). I didn't know that it was a joke so while I was already on my limit, All of the sudden I found myself calling out "Me" through my strangled voice. So my instructor did. And I have acually improved since then.
