I am trying to teach myself how to trick, but I realized that I have no idea where to start. I would like to know what the first trick that everyone learned was.
Since I was in gymnastics at an early age I already had most of the basic tumbling tricks such as flashes, back flips... My first real karate tricks were a 540 at 8 years old followed by C720s and B-twists.
540, aerial, backside 900, double leg, and sidewipe. I trick more with kicks twists cause I've never done any tumbling or gymnastics so I'm not the best flipper.
My first trick was aerial at about age 8, my mum taught me to back flip and back tuck when i was about 10/11 the rest of my trickin ive learnt in open gym sessions training with all different people from freerunners to breakdancers and of course other martial artists. thats the great thing about tricking everyone has their own style and ive always found other trickers eager and willing to help. :)
Butterfly kick, aerial, and a 540 kick is a good way to start! :D but having solid basics for tricking first is good though, such as a tornado kick, or even a good cartwheel! I've landed a 540 a couple of times I'm hoping by the end of this year I can get it solid, my aerial comes and goes, it's kinda annoying, it mainly went away because I got injured a while back, but that was a long time ago :) and I have my butterfly!
