REGISTER FOR HYPER GAMES

RULES & JUDGING

Adult and Junior Advance Team Battles Rules and Judging:
This category is for experienced trickers and forms competitors.
Junior competition is 17 and under
Minimum of two people on a team; maximum of four.
Teams can be single or mixed gender.
All Martial Art Tricks based techniques and maneuvers are permitted.
*there are no limitations on combinations

Judging Criteria: Style, originality, technique, entertainment value, cleanliness and power.
-Two 1min30 sec rounds during day time competition. Two 2min rounds in night time show.
-Teams are scored at the end of each round. Each individual judge points to the side that he or she rates as performing best. The team with the most selections from the judges wins the point.
-The first team ahead by 1 point wins the battle.
-If there is a tie after two rounds, each team will have to select 2-3 candidates to perform 3 head to head passes. The teams will be judged at the end of each pass. The team that accumulates the most points after the head to head challenge wins the battle.

Adult and Junior Beginner and Intermediate one on one Battles

Beginner Rules
No more than 360 degree rotation jump spin kicks. Jump spin kicks cannot be inverted. At least one hand must be touching the ground at all times for all flips. No back flips or front flips without hands. No aerial cartwheels (i.e. no handed cartwheels). No breaking power moves.
Intermediate Rules

No more than 720 degree rotation jump spin kicks. Jump spin kicks can be inverted (e.g. sideswipe or raiz). Back flips, front flips, and aerials are allowed. No full twisting back flips or front flips and no half twisting back flips or front flips. No aerial twists. No cartwheel full twists. Gainer back flips and gainer aerials are allowed, but no corkscrews. No hyper landings, no wrap throughs. No backside spin kicks are permitted beyond 1080 degrees. Breaking power moves are allowed except for head spins, flares, air flares, and more than a single rotation 1990.

Beginner and Intermediate Judging

Judging Criteria: Style, originality, technique, entertainment value, cleanliness and power.
-Junior competition is 17 and under
-Mixed gender competition (males and females compete in the same division)
-Two 1min 15sec rounds.
-Individuals are scored at the end of each round. Each judge points to the side that he or she rates as performing best. The individual with the most selections from the judges wins the point.
-The first individual ahead by 1 point wins the entire battle.
-If there is a tie after the two rounds, each individual will have to perform 1 head to head pass. The competitors will be judged at the end of the pass. The individual that receives the most judge selections in the tie breaker round wins the battle.
