I just got back from Daytona Beach, FL and the Gator Nationals. It was an awesome weekend…definitely memorable (especially the slingshot ride). Now, I’m back in Atlanta, training everyday, getting ready for a summer full of tournaments, camps, special events, and seminars.  My team and I are putting together a competition camp this summer that will be full of training on weapons, forms, fighting, and HYPER tricking sessions. I am looking forward to that. If any of you are planning on going to the US Open, AKA Grands, or Capital Classics this summer, definitely come up and say ”hi.” If you are going to a tournament for the first time this year, tell us about it. Hyper is looking forward to spreading the word about sport martial arts and helping more and more students compete at tournaments around the country.  We definitely want to help you develop your competition skills. So check out the training videos. They’re going up soon.
Heading to Sacramento in a few hours to rock the training floor with my good buddies Rudy Reynon, Tyler Weaver, Kyle Lopez and who ever else might show up. its gunna be fun.
In this week’s blog I wanted to discuss a little about Hyper and what we as Hyper Pros represent. There seems to be a lot of confusion about what we are and why we exist. I hear a lot of people calling us a competition team or a tricking team. We have even generated challenges from others thinking we are a true team. Although all the individuals who represent Hyper currently compete and also trick on some level, Hyper is neither a competition team nor a tricking team. We are a group of individuals who have been selected by Hyper Martial Arts to represent and to progress the martial arts and its lifestyle. We are looking to raise awareness of the martial arts through our website, clothing line and training videos. I hope that answers at least some of the questions I have been seeing. My next tournament is Gator Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida. I love this tournament and its location. The hotel is right on the beach and there is a sling shot ride that is awesome. I went on it a bunch of times last year. I have been training really hard and am excited for Gator Nationals. Hope to see everyone there!!!
